Recently, Toyota announced they are bringing an all-new electric truck to market at an in-house Toyota event debuting the brand future electric vehicles. From what we understand, this new all-electric truck will be cross between mid-size vehicle akin to the Toyota Tacoma and a full-size Toyota Tundra.

In addition, we understand the next-generation Toyota Tacoma and Toyota will share the same platform so that this all-new electric truck may be the first sign of that happening. The truck will most likely have a full complement of off-road features...

When Toyota announced that it plans to not just reduce but basically eliminate its CO2 emissions—both in its plants and the cars it makes—the company factored in the use of CO2 emissions produced by methane gas in, you guessed it, landfills.

The Toyota Mirai, which runs on hydrogen, can use fuel from recycled products. One way of using waste to make hydrogen is by fermenting cow poop and refining the gasses released.

In 2000, the Toyota Prius took the American market by storm as one of the very first hybrid cars. In 2015, the Toyota Mirai is going to be one of the very first hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.

Except actually, the hydrogen fuel cell was invented in 1838. The hybrid? The turn of the last century.
