Are you a walker, bicyclist or do you enjoy jogging? If so, you’ve likely been in a scary situation of some sort involving a motor vehicle. In fact, approximately 125,000 accidents occur each year between automobiles and pedestrians and bicyclists. Of that number, roughly 2,800 involve so-called “quiet cars,” like hybrid and electric vehicles.
Because of this, Congress passed a law in 2010 that dictated that all hybrid or electric cars must be equipped with noise-making devices, to keep individuals on the road safer. While there is still debate as to the type of volume of these devices, we believe they will be present in the near future.
Is a rule like this needed? Necessary? https://t.co/1tNXP9mRsn pic.twitter.com/3A7Wer1UPA
