The Toyota Highlander has been the top-selling midsize SUV in America for the past six years and it’s only getting better for 2023. Toyota revised the Highlander by giving it a new four-cylinder engine. San Antonio drivers will like its larger available infotainment touch screen. Cavender Toyota will be getting a wide selection of new Highlander SUVs soon, and we’re eager to show you all of its improvements.

A Boost in Engine Torque

The 2023 Toyota Highlander now comes standard with a turbocharged, 265-horsepower four-cylinder engine that puts out 309 pound-feet of torque. This is an increase of 46 pound-feet of torque for quicker passing on Loop 337 in New Braunfels, TX. The new motor is more environmentally friendly, releasing over 50% less NOx and NMOG emissions than the outgoing V6 engine. The upgraded engine is also expected to earn 24 mpg in combined highway/city ratings.

Improved Tech Features

Toyota Highlander Limited and Platinum models now come with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, instead of the previous analog gauges and 7-inch display. People in Boerne will appreciate the newly available 12.3-inch touch screen infotainment system that’s now available on Highlander XLE and XSE trims.

All 2023 Highlander models are equipped with the Toyota Audio Multimedia system that offers cloud-based navigation, over-the-air updates, and voice-command capability. Seguin, TX drivers will like that the system comes standard with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility for a simpler connection to their smartphone apps.
