Performance and Powertrain
The new Toyota 4Runner has a maximum tow rating of 5,000 pounds, which is a solid number for an SUV of its class. The 4Runner can tow trailers and small campers around New Braunfels with this tow rating. Prewiring is available for a four-pin or seven-pin harness if you're using a trailer with electric brakes. The new 4Runner comes powered by a strong V6 engine with a 4.0-liter displacement. The engine is capable of a maximum of 270 horsepower and close to 280 pound-feet in torque. The 4Runner comes equipped with a five-speed transmission on all trims. While two-wheel drive is standard on most trim levels, a few select trims are eligible for four-wheel drive for enhanced performance and traction in Boerne.
Comfort and Convenience
While the new 4Runner is an SUV with impressive performance and handling capabilities, it is also a vehicle made with your comfort and convenience in mind. The Toyota SUV has a power rear window for convenience. Both front seats are power-adjustable, and the seats in the back row fold and recline. The Toyota 4Runner has a steering wheel wrapped in a layer of leather for a refined look and a comfortable grip.
For technology, the base trim of the Toyota 4Runner starts with an 8-inch touchscreen interface that includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. More charging power gets added in the back of the SUV, with a 120V power outlet in the trunk. Following the base trim comes the Trail Special Edition, which gets some more interior upgrades and distinctive features on the outside. The Trail Special Edition arrives accessorized with a roof rack for extra storage space to hold all your gear. The trim has darker accents across the exterior trim, and it also has dark-colored wheels for a more dramatic look. The interior is even more ready for an adventure with the addition of a portable beverage cooler.
The SR5 Premium comes with heated front seats for more enjoyable driving in cold weather. The seating material gets upgraded to simulated leather upholstery, and you'll get a keyless ignition system. A sunroof is available for the SR5 Premium. There are two off-road-oriented models called the TRD Off-Road and the TRD Off-Road Premium. Both come equipped with more components inside and out that make them more suitable for the trails. They have more drive modes beyond what the other 4Runner models offer to help you conquer off-road trails and obstacles in Seguin, TX with greater ease. The two trims also have a locking rear differential to maximize traction when you're driving off-road, and you can get a kinetic dynamic suspension system for better traction as well.
Following these trims is the Venture Special Edition with all-terrain tires, TRD wheels, and a Yakima roof rack. The Limited is the most luxurious 4Runner trim. It has chrome accents on the outside, a standard sunroof, and leather seats. A limited-edition called the Nightshade with a black exterior is also available.
