• Stephen Cavender

  Stephen is the Dealer Principal at Cavender Toyota and is a San Antonio native.  He started with the company in 1979, working on the wash rack for $1.90 an hour.  He loves to spend time in South Padre with his wife, Kelly and their kids, Kate and Brooks.  Stephen also likes to fish, hunt and golf, noting that his favorite course is Oak Hills where he played with Payne Stewart in the Texas Open Pro-Am (before Payne was famous).  A few other interesting facts:  Stephen has a rescue dachshund named Marci, who can stand up straight on her hind legs, giving her the nickname "Master Cylinder."  He says his favorite sports team is for sure the Spurs and when asked if he has ever met a famous person, Stephen answered, "Does Rick Cavender count??"

  Marci has been the boss's dog since 2010 and has earned the nickname "Master Cylinder" due to the shape of her body and her unique ability to stand up straight on her hind legs. For fun, Marci likes to burrow in her favorite blanket on which the University of Texas is proudly displayed.

  David has lived in San Antonio since 1992 and has been with Cavender Toyota since early 2013. For fun, he likes to spend quality time with his wife and two children. David's favorite place to eat in San Antonio is Sushihana, which he claims is hard to beat. His favorite place to fish is at Baffin Bay. He has met George Strait and Tommy Lee Jones. What David loves most about his job is meeting new people and treating them the way he'd like to be treated himself.

            My salesman, David Dickinson was awesome. He patiently drove me around

            the lot with my Mom, that could not walk the lot. He listened to my needs, which included needing space for a dog crate. He found my car and the rest is history. While we waited for the financing to take place, David provided me and Mom with Canes chicken fingers. He then went and got my mother's car for her. He saw that a bird had redecorated it, so he drove it through their carwash. Before leaving lot he took my picture in my new car. It was a great experience at Cavender Toyota.

           buying a new car! I purchased a 2016 Highlander SLE and I LOVE IT! My daughter loves it and only wants to sit in the 3rd row :) Julio Cervera was amazing and took the time to explain the difference between the sport and the limited.
