After a couple of years during which Japanese automaker Toyota decided to take the Land Cruiser off the American market, the legendary SUV is making a strong comeback with an exciting lineup for San Antonio drivers interested in off-road adventures.
The new Toyota Land Cruiser models arriving at Cavender Toyota are impressive and selling at prices that are considerably lower than previous generations. Let's review some features you can look forward to in the new Land Cruiser family.
Trim Levels
Toyota is keeping things simple with three Land Cruiser packages
- 1958
- Land Cruiser
- First Edition
As inferred by its name, the 1958 grade pays homage to the original 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser and the year it was introduced. The retro styling features a square grille, rounded headlights, and an overall boxy exterior, making it look like a collector's edition at an affordable price. Despite being the base grade, the Land Cruise 1958 has premium features such as the Toyota Safety Sense™ 2.5+ driver-assist suite and a hybrid powertrain that delivers 326 horsepower.
The frames of the mid-range Land Cruiser and the First Edition grades have modern styling and provide more interior space than the 1958, but you can still see some retro inspiration for Seguin.
A New Land Cruiser Powertrain
The hybrid power plant consists of a 2.4-liter four-cylinder with a turbocharger and dual electric motors. The torque output has been measured at 465 pound-feet of torque; when combined with four-wheel drive and the Toyota Multi-Terrain System (MTS) of electronic traction management, the Land Cruiser becomes a competent off-road SUV, but it is no longer the gas guzzler of previous generations.
All new Toyota Land Cruiser grades have been designed as collector's edition models to mark the return of this legendary SUV to the New Braunfels area market. We invite you to come to the Cavender Toyota lot and take a test drive today.
